Return Temporary Credentials
When you use the Check Out Visitors screen to complete a Visit, you have the option on each Visitor to Check Out and Return Badge. This action removes the Temporary Credential (and the Visit's Clearances) from the Visitor's Personnel record, and returns the Temporary Credential to Unassigned Status.
You should only use this action if the Visitor has turned in the physical badge represented by the Temporary Credential. Otherwise it will be harder to track the Temporary Credential held by this visitor if the system records that the badge was returned.
For example, if the Visitor is participating in a multi-day Visit, you can use Check Out to Disable the Temporary Credential and remove any Clearances, but allow the Visitor to retain the physical badge. When the Visitor returns the next day, you can check them in (or the Visitor can check-in via a card swipe if the reader is configured for check-in - see Configuring a Door Action for Check-In) and re-activate the Temporary Credential via the Administration client so that the Visit can continue.
